From a Lonely Self-Represented Litigant to the Birth of Somia

Facing the Court Alone

Sitting beside the judge, I was on my own. On the mahogany benches of an Australian courtroom, I was once an “isolated outsider.” To my left was the thick volume of statutes; to my right was the massive array of documents from the opposing legal team. No lawyer, no team, no shield. In that moment, I wasn’t just fighting the law—I was fighting a sense of “voicelessness.”

Discovering the “Structural Gap”

Lawyers are professional, but every minute is expensive. Before those costly consultations even began, I didn’t even know which piece of paper to hand them. I suddenly realised: the law has no barrier to entry, but “understanding the law” does. Ordinary people do not lack judgment; they lack an entrance into the forest of rules.

The Awakening: Seeing the “Structural Code”

To save myself, I buried myself in thousands of precedents. Late nights over cold coffee led me to a truth: the law was not designed to exclude ordinary people; it simply operates on a strict “code” mastered by only a few.

Ordinary people struggle in court not because they lack justice, but because they lack structure:

  • We have facts, but we cannot organise them into an evidentiary chain.
  • We have grievances, but we cannot translate them into legal issues.

This discovery calmed my fear. I began to deconstruct every judicial thought with algorithmic logic. When I finally pulled that golden thread of logic from the chaotic files, I knew I had “reached the shore.”

The Mission: Forging a Blade into a Ladder

Somia was born because I do not want those who come after me to experience that same “blindness.” We are not just moving cases; we are rebuilding the infrastructure:

  • Reorganising chaotic facts into logic recognised by judges.
  • Transforming obscure rulings into accessible tools for everyone.
  • Turning expensive professional barriers into intuitive, practical guides.

From Solitary Struggle to Shared Logic: I take those expensive, monopolised judicial insights and deconstruct them into practical templates that anyone can use.

From Uncertainty to Foresight: We don’t just interpret the past; we provide you with the “legal eyes” to anticipate the future. Let every choice be guided by legal certainty.
